What’s going on at Hanon Systems?

Hanon Systems announced plans to build a $155-million electric compressor (e-compressor) plant in Woodbridge, Ontario.

The South Korean automotive parts supplier expects the facility to employ nearly 300 hourly and salaried workers at full production.

“We investigated several locations for the new plant. Our partnership with the government of Ontario and investment development agency has been a significant element in our decision,” co-CEO Subu Nagasubramony said in a news release.

“We are proud to foster local community development and the growth of its economy.”

In support of this investment, the province is providing Hanon Systems with $10 million through its Invest Ontario Fund.
