LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja's proposal for a four-nation T20I series was unanimously rejected by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in their meeting held on April 10th, but, his latest tweet is a totally opposite one as he has written very positive words — saying that the concept was ''welcomed.''
Raja who is very vocal about this proposal, but, it all turned into a damp squib as the proposal was unanimously rejected by the ICC board members including the BCCI.
But, the tweet on his official Twitter handle, puts everyone in a surprise as it gives an indication that nothing negative happened and the proposal is 'seen as promoting the interest of the game.''
"Great discussion regarding 4 Nations series today at the ICC meeting. As a concept, it was welcomed and debated upon and seen as promoting the interest of the game. Fingers crossed. More when I am back at the office tomorrow," he tweeted.
It should be noted that Raja's four-nation T20I series proposal has teams involving Pakistan, India, Australia and England.
