The newly promoted partners strengthen the firm's employment and corporate law offerings

Wynn Williams has promoted Kathryn Evans and Tom Heard to partner, strengthening the firm's employment and corporate law offerings in Ōtautahi Christchurch and Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
"Kathryn is technically excellent, handling effortlessly both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. She has also played an instrumental leadership role in the firm’s national employment team over the past few years, emphasising the partner-level skillset she possesses", managing partner Ash Hill said.
Based in Christchurch, Evans defends complex employment law claims. She has worked with in-house legal and HR teams at all-of-government clients, local authorities and large corporates.
Working from Auckland, Heard is an expert in transactions involving M&A and private equity investments. He has tackled complex and high-value domestic and international corporate matters.
“Tom’s reputation as an excellent lawyer means that he is trusted by clients and colleagues alike. Beyond his technical skills, we value the developing mentorship role he plays within the corporate team", Hill said.
With the addition of Evans and Heard, Wynn Williams' partnership now numbers 28.
