Prosecutors have charged him with three counts of perverting the course of justice.

This is the friend of convicted killer Johnny Miller who’s facing charges of making false statements to police about the murder of Charlotte Murray.

The 34-year-old Omagh woman was reported missing in May 2013 but police believe she was actually murdered around Halloween the year before.

They launched a murder investigation and four years ago her ex-fiancé Miller – now 53 years old – was found guilty of killing her after a jury took just three hours to deliberate after a four-week trial.

Tuesday marked the 11th anniversary of when police – despite not finding her body – are certain Charlotte was murdered by jealous psycho Miller.

In the week the cowardly chef was found guilty four years ago, a man was arrested by detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team on suspicion of assisting offenders, withholding information and perverting the course of justice.

He was interviewed and then released on police bail pending further inquiries.

At the time police said they had seized a number of electronic devices for examination as part of the investigation.

Now we can exclusively reveal that man is 52-year-old Brian Barnard from Currans Brae, Moy, Co Tyrone, and four years later prosecutors have charged him with three counts of perverting the course of justice.
