KPMG Australia Whistleblower Fallout Grows as COO Steps Down - news.bloombergtax.com

KPMG Australia’s chief operating officer has become the latest top executive of the firm to be penalized over misconduct allegations as Australian state governments review their multi-million dollar contracts with the Big Four accounting and consulting giant.

Partner Eileen Hoggett has been demoted and John Sams will take on the combined role of COO and chief financial officer, effective immediately, acting CEO Stan Stavros told partners Wednesday. Hoggett will remain as an audit and assurance partner.
