Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella announces that Kyle Perkins (age 30) of Pittsfield, New Hampshire has been indicted for Medicaid fraud in connection with fraudulent claims for non-emergency medical transportation services.
On January 20, 2023, the Merrimack County Grand Jury indicted Perkins on charges of Medicaid Fraud – False Claims and Theft by Unauthorized Taking. The indictments allege that between May 30, 2020 and July 30, 2021, Perkins fraudulently requested reimbursement through the New Hampshire Medicaid Family and Friends Milage Reimbursement program related to medical visits that did not exist.
The maximum penalty for the Medicaid Fraud charge is 3 to 7 years in the New Hampshire State Prison and a $4,000.00 fine. The maximum penalty on the Theft by Unauthorized Taking charge is 3 to 7 years in the New Hampshire State Prison and a $4,000.00 fine.
Perkins will be arraigned in the Merrimack County Superior Court on March 4, 2023. The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and Perkins is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
