They led a trial team that represented Novo Nordisk in a False Claims Act case where lawyers for the state of Washington and former employee Dr. Jamie Siegel pressed claims the company improperly billed Medicare and the state’s healthcare program for its hemophilia drug NovoSeven. After a three-week trial, federal jurors in Tacoma last week sided with Novo Nordisk completely, rejecting claims that the company paid kickbacks to patients and doctors or inappropriately promoted off-label uses for the drug.
