Lockheed Martin Stops Bid to Revive Mechanic's Retaliation Claim - Bloomberg Law

A lawsuit alleging Lockheed Martin violated the False Claims Act by retaliating against a mechanic for raising worker safety issues concerning defense contracts to support the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft won’t be reinstated, the Eleventh Circuit said Monday.

A federal district court properly dismissed Tesfalem Isaac’s complaint, because it didn’t allege facts showing Lockheed was aware or on notice that he was pursuing a fraud claim under the FCA, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said in a nonprecedential opinion.
