Millions in Worker Back Wages and Benefits Recovered by DOL - Bloomberg Law

The US Department of Labor has recovered $3,193,839 in back wages and benefits for 3,174 employees at an Irvine, Calif.-based subcontractor, the agency said Wednesday.

The DOL’s Wage and Hour Division has determined that Alorica Inc. allegedly incorrectly paid workers prevailing wage rates and fringe benefit amounts less than those required by the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act between January 2017 and March 2022, the agency said. Alorica, contracting with the US Office of Personnel Management, provides enrollment and dental and vision benefits support to federal employees, retirees, and their dependents.
