A NEW MINIMUM WAGE
Ohio's minimum wage is about to rise again, with the rate increasing for nontipped employees by 80 cents an hour, from $9.30 to $10.10.
Workers who receive tips will get a wage increase from $4.65 to $5.05
That increases are slated to begin on Jan. 1.
The minimum wage will apply to employees of businesses with annual gross receipts of $371,000 or more per year.
The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour.

LEGAL SPORTS BETTING
Beginning January 1, 2023, sports betting will be legal across the Buckeye State.
After Indiana legalized sports gambling in 2019, Ohio will become the 27th state, plus the District of Columbia, to have sports betting legal state wide, while three others - North Carolina, New Mexico and Wisconsin - have sports betting available through tribal casinos, according to Legal Sports Report.
