The head of the National Rifle Association’s charitable arm filed a whistleblower complaint in an upstate New York court on Monday against former NRA board president Oliver North, following North's similar lawsuit filed recently in Virginia.
The complaint against North, by president of the NRA Foundation Thomas King, cites New York’s anti-SLAPP statute that protects New Yorkers from frivolous lawsuits meant to silence whistleblowers. It was filed in state Supreme Court of Rensselaer County, where King resides.
