Ohio’s hourly minimum wage will rise to $10.10 from $9.30, and the minimum wage for tipped employees will rise to $5.05 from $4.65 effective Jan. 1, 2023, the state commerce department announced Sept. 30.
The announcement confirms Bloomberg Tax’s Sept. 13 calculations.
The 2023 minimum wage will apply to businesses with annual gross receipts of at least $371,000, up from $342,000 in 2022.
An hourly minimum wage of $7.25 will apply to businesses with annual gross receipts of less than $371,000 and employees ages 14 and 15.
