P Diddy claims witness 'damaged his right to a fair trial' after making 'false claims' - The Mirror US

P Diddy's attorney filed a defamation lawsuit against Courtney Burgess, his lawyer Ariel Mitchell, and NewsNation over claims that his 'right to a fair trial' was 'damaged'

In an amended lawsuit filed by his attorneys today, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs claims that Courtney Burgess and his lawyer Ariel Mitchell, along with NewsNation, caused substantial "reputational and financial harm" and "damaged his right to a fair trial."

The filing stems from claims that Courtney was in possession of videos that allegedly showed Diddy sexually assaulting minors and celebrities, which were supposedly provided by Diddy's ex Kim Porter, who passed away in 2018.

According to court documents obtained by the Mirror US, the disgraced rap mogul is seeking no less than $100 million in damages, as well as a jury trial.

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. After an eight-week trial, he was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking, but was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

The defamation suit alleges that the defendants fabricated "outrageous lies" concerning Diddy to "enrich themselves, gain social media fame" and "promote their brands."

Diddy's lawyers further claim that the defendant's "intentionally false and defamatory statements" had "poisoned the minds of the overwhelming majority" of people who may have qualified to serve as members of the jury during the trial,...
