Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will no longer contest a three-year-old whistleblower lawsuit against his office that formed the basis of his impeachment in the Texas House last year.
Paxton’s office “elects not to dispute” the claims any longer, a new court filing says. The office asked a trial court to enter a judgment in favor of the four employees who brought the case after they made a complaint against Paxton to the FBI in 2020 and were fired.
