Marshall Dennehey acquires Center City litigation boutique

Marshall Dennehey Coleman Warner & Goggin has acquired Philadelphia-based litigation boutique Delany Law. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Joining the region’s largest insurance defense litigation firm as of Nov. 1 will be five lawyers, including three shareholders, two paralegal and several support staff. The group is led by Jack Delany, who defends catastrophic, high-profile cases. His firm has collaborated with 500-lawyer Marshall Dennehey on a number of cases, including representing defendants in litigation stemming from the 2013 Salvation Army building collapse at 22nd and Market streets.

A 1985 graduate of University of Bridgeport Law School, Delany has operated his own firm with various partners since 1990. The firms say he has taken to conclusion more than 60 jury trials, as well as hundreds of bench trials, arbitrations and mediations.

The two other shareholders joining the firm are Andrew Campbell and Kristen Worley. Andy Ciganek will join as a partner. All four will work out of Marshall Dennehey’s Philadelphia office. Special counsel Andrew Logue will join Marshall Dennehey’s Mount Laurel office. All of the attorneys will practice in the firm’s casualty department.
