Philadelphia Train Manager Can Proceed with Whistleblower Claim - Bloomberg Law

A Pennsylvania train manager won’t be able to take his reverse racism claim to a jury, but will be able to move forward with his claim for whistleblower retaliation, a federal judge decided.

Jameson Young sued the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, or SEPTA, claiming that it shouldn’t have disciplined him for his behavior during a meeting with subordinates because the meeting had been illegally recorded. Pennsylvania is a two-party consent state and Young did not consent to being recorded.
