Real Madrid hit back at 'completely false' claims they have held talks with Kylian Mbappe in remarkable statem - Daily Mail

Real Madrid have denied claims they have held negotiations with PSG forward Kylian Mbappe ahead of his contract expiring next summer - calling the rumours 'completely false'.

Mbappe will become a free agent at the end of the season as things stand and should he fail to agree new terms with the French side, there will be a host of elite clubs queuing up to secure one of the world's best players for free.

The Frenchman endured a tense relationship with his club over the summer amid uncertainty over his future and at one point he was banished to play with the B-team. Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal even lodged a world record 257million, but the player opted against moving to the Middle East.

He has since resolved matters with PSG and returned to the first team - going on to score ten times in nine Ligue 1 starts, looking to brush off questions around his future.

But there have still been links to Real Madrid, who appear favourites to land his signature at the season's end, in recent weeks.
