Waste collection company Republic Services Inc. failed to pay its drivers in full, a new suit alleges, including after a cyberattack took third-party timekeeping system Kronos offline.
The company allegedly deducted 30 minutes of pay for meal breaks workers couldn’t take without interruption, required off-the-clock work before shifts started, and didn’t timely pay proper wages while the Kronos system was down, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Arizona.
Republic didn’t immediately respond to a Thursday request for comment.
