Sills Cummis & Gross P.C., a full-service commercial law firm with approximately 140 attorneys in New Jersey, New York and Florida, Thursday welcomed Eric Su to its New York office as a member of the firm’s litigation department and employment and labor practice group.
Su represents management in all aspects of employment and labor law, including government investigations, class and collective action litigation defense involving alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and parallel state wage and hour laws. He has routinely handled investigations by federal and state labor departments, law enforcement and municipal agencies concerning wage and hour issues. He has litigated large-scale wage and hour collective and class actions around the country.
Su also counsels renewable energy project developers and contractors on compliance with the prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements for enhanced tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act. With more than two decades of experience in prevailing wage and construction law, he offers practical advice from day-to-day compliance to complex issues. He also helps clients comply with the Davis-Bacon Act and state and local equivalents, which are often necessary for government grants and tax benefits for projects like the Chips and Science Act of 2022 and similar state programs.
