The Federal Aviation Administration Wednesday defeated a citizens group’s petition challenging orders that implemented and revised departure procedures at the Van Nuys and Burbank, Calif., airports.
The National Environmental Policy Act didn’t require the FAA to perform a new environmental impact study before adopting 2020 orders that made only minor editorial changes to procedures that the FAA issued in 2017, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said.
