Artak Beglaryan, adviser to the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Minister of State, on Saturday reflected—on his Telegram account—on the false claims made by Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev at the Munich Security Conference.
"Azerbaijan's dictator Aliyev made some false claims at the Munich Security Conference today, in response to which I will note:
The four UN resolutions of 1993 call on both sides to stop hostilities, but Azerbaijan did not adhere to them and continued the war.
Those resolutions recognize the forces of Nagorno-Karabakh as a party to the conflict, but not Armenia.
According to the official documents of the government of Soviet Azerbaijan, during this period only 17 mosques were counted in all the territories under the control of Artsakh, while Aliyev claims about 67.
We have not deliberately destroyed any mosque, we have even restored the Shushi mosque and preserved the existing ones as much as we could," Beglaryan wrote, in particular.
