Subversive media outlets spread false claims that Khunkyon village in Hakha Township, Chin State, was attacked by aerial bombardment, resulting in the deaths of four people, including children, and injuries to nine others.
According to security officials, when reports indicated that terrorists were hiding in the area, security forces carried out aerial surveillance to assess the situation. This included determining whether terrorists were present and whether locals were still in the area. Following this, appropriate action was taken. Terrorists used heavy weapons and small arms and dropped bombs on the villages to disrupt peace and security, killing and injuring innocent civilians. Malicious media outlets use social media to circulate false information, attempting to cover up terrorists’ actions and distorting public perception of Tatmadaw.
