The US government failed to show that Clarksville Pain Institute LLC and Pain Institute of Nashville PLC, or their owners, violated the False Claims Act by improperly billing health-care programs for medical services, a federal district court said.
The government’s complaint didn’t include sufficient details of alleged fraud schemes needed to satisfy federal rules of civil procedure, Judge Aleta A. Trauger of the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee said in a Thursday opinion, dismissing claims alleging fraud under the FCA.
