Attorney Matt Hoffmann from Battle Born Injury Lawyers explained that many Americans misunderstand their First Amendment rights. "The First Amendment says 'Congress shall make no law' - meaning it only protects you from government censorship, not from your employer," Hoffmann said. He noted that private employers can fire employees for social media posts, even if made on personal time, to protect their brand and workplace culture.
