This collaboration is particularly significant given the historical skepticism in the UK regarding rewarding whistleblowers.
On August 26, leaders from the IRS Whistleblower Office and HMRC will speak together at the 43rd Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime in Cambridge, England, to promote these two highly effective public-assisted programs. The topic, “Cutting Edge Whistleblower/Informant Rewards Programs in the UK and US (HMRC, SFO, & IRS)” will focus on the practical investigation and enforcement mechanisms driving these programs.
Government officials and fraud investigators from countries around the world have attended this annual symposium for many years to share ideas on combating economic crime internationally.
