Update, 4:45 p.m.: Former President Donald Trump spoke at a rally in Anchorage Saturday to support Republican candidates for office. Trump took the stage around 4:30 p.m., remarked on what a special place Alaska is — “I’ve heard for years there’s no place more beautiful and I agree” — then launched into attacks against Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who is campaigning for reelection.

“I’m here for two reasons: to support great candidates and to fulfill my promise,” Trump said, referring to his vow to campaign against Murkowski, who supported impeaching him. He called Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy “terrific,” Murkowski challenger Kelly Tshibaka “wonderful” and former Gov. Sarah Palin, who’s running for U.S. House, “legendary.”
