A review of websites selling direct-to-consumer anti-Müllerian hormone tests found that most of them made false claims, potentially misleading consumers into believing the tests can predict chances of conception and age of menopause.
Researchers found that 33% of the websites warned that the test cannot accurately predict chances of conception, and 26% said they are not reliable when taking oral contraceptive pills.
It was the top story in women’s health last week.
Another top story was about survey results showing that one-fifth of respondents reported negative health care experiences during their pregnancy and delivery. A CDC official described the finding as “unacceptable” at a media briefing.
