United Nations Official & Hamas Apologist Francesca Albanese Makes False Claims In CTV News Interview; Host Fails To Challenge Her - Honest Reporting Canada

As part of her Canada tour, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Hamas apologist, Francesca Albanese, appeared on CTV News on November 9 for an interview.

During the introduction to the segment, CTV Anchor Renee Rogers recapped recent Israeli counter-terrorism efforts against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, saying “At least 14 people were killed in Israeli strikes” in Gaza, and that seven people were killed in Lebanon. Not one word was offered as to who the targets were, nor was Hamas or Hezbollah mentioned at all in that retelling, suggesting that Israel is almost wantonly bombing targets, seemingly without purpose.

Lest that point was too subtle, the host then spoke with Albanese, a fanatical anti-Israel extremist who has spoken at a Hamas conference, defended the terrorist group’s right to murder Israelis, denied Hamas atrocities on October 7, 2023 and spread anti-Jewish conspiracy theories.

Albanese Is An Anti-Israel Extremist

And yet, despite Albanese’s history of extremist rhetoric, this was similarly hidden from viewers, with no background provided about her dalliance with Islamic terrorists.

The interview opened with a question with an incredibly predictable answer for Albanese: “Do you think Israel has violated international laws,” which she dutifully answered in the affirmative, before making false claim after false claim.
