Based at the Preston headquartered firm’s Cumbria office in Kendal, Victoria will join the employment law team as legal director, working closely with partner Angela Barnes and partner and head of Cumbria, Jamie Allison.
Victoria will assist in servicing current clients with their employment law matters, including a significant spike in new employment tribunal matters for employers, whilst contributing to AfterAthena’s growth strategy to win and service new clients across the region.
Following 16 years with Leeds-based full-service law firm Clarion, Victoria brings extensive experience of supporting commercial clients with their employment law and HR requirements.
She has particular expertise in complex workplace investigations, disciplinary and grievance issues, capability and ill-health management, organisational change, employment tribunals and employee relations.
Alongside her advisory work, Victoria is a trainer with a passion for pastoral care, learning and development.
Her appointment follows those of Sonia Hanson as business development manager and Denise Finlay with 27 years of experience in sales and business development to help deliver the firm’s drive to secure more clients.
