In a career spanning 18 years, David Kushner, chair of the Labor and Employment Law section at Willcox Savage, has devoted his practice to representing businesses and municipalities in virtually all aspects of the field.

A seasoned litigator, Kushner is passionate about advising clients on handling essential employment matters, including navigating difficult employee terminations, investigating allegations of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation, and responding to ADA accommodation and FMLA requests. His stated goal is to help his clients be proactive and avoid litigation.

Among his many successes was a $121 million judgment for his client, an international equipment manufacturer, in a claim regarding trade secret misappropriation. The Virginia Supreme Court later upheld the judgment.

Kushner received both his bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Virginia.

Active in his community, he serves on the board of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater and was a member of the CIVIC Leadership Institute, Class of 2016.
