WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - It’s a time of year when many people go around looking for disregarded treasure, but a West Fargo man says someone took his several hundred dollar lawnmower that he didn’t plan to give away.
Jordan Huseby believes someone stole the tool that he uses to cut grass on a regular basis.
He has screenshots taken from his neighbor’s security camera that show what happened.
“I felt very violated,” said Huseby.
Huseby was just mowing his lawn Sunday night, May 4, just after 7 p.m. when he left his lawnmower at the end of the driveway to go talk to his neighbor.
“It is cleanup week; it was close to the berm. I don’t think that they thought it was garbage,” said Huseby.
When he came back to his driveway, it was gone.
“I got to rinse my lawnmower out and I just peeked my head right over the fence line by the boat and I didn’t see my lawnmower sitting there,” said Huseby.
He even says he’s not the only person in his neighborhood that’s had something stolen.
“When I talked to my neighbor next door about the whole surveillance camera thing, she was on the phone with one of her friends, and apparently her friend’s neighbor had the same thing happen to them the same day,” said Huseby.
When asked about what his message to the people that stole his lawnmower is, Jordan says he’s tried to remain calm.
“Next time, just ask. I mean, it looks like a brand-new lawnmower. I think they knew it was for garbage or for take. There’s a lawnmower down the street...
