A whistleblower for Malta’s Animal Welfare has claimed that puppies which were in perfect condition were killed unnecessarily by the directorate.
This was unveiled in a new exclusive Lovin Malta interview, exploring the worrying state of the Animal Welfare Directorate in Malta.
“When we heard that the dog that fell from the bastions was pregnant and about to give birth, after she gave birth, her puppies, aside from one, were all in perfect condition. But they were killed,” the whistleblower unveiled in the first part of the interview.
The interview also touches upon kill shelters, virus outbreaks and interference from above, among other serious allegations.
Lovin Malta has been following the situation closely for years, culminating in an interview with someone well informed on the inner workings of the organisation.
The Directorate has been at the centre of numerous controversies, with many citizens expressing concern about the efficiency and operation of the entity.
