Whistleblower Alleges Major Scheme Targeting Migrants - MSN

Former Kentucky clerk Melissa Moorman has come forward with allegations that her coworkers were selling driver’s licenses to undocumented immigrants for $200 each, in some cases conducting multiple transactions per day. The claims have sparked concern regarding the integrity of the state’s identification system. In response, officials have revoked over 1,900 credentials linked to the scheme and launched a formal investigation.

Former Attorney General of Kentucky Daniel Cameron said, “Under Democrat President Joe Biden, we were lax with our laws, we were letting illegals into the country. We weren’t following the rule of law. I think President Trump said it best when he said, ‘Turns out we didn’t need new laws, we needed a new president that was willing to enforce the laws.'”

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has identified irregularities and contacted law enforcement. The agency has terminated involved temp agency workers and has withheld documents at investigators’ request.

Kentucky law does not permit undocumented immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses. The alleged conduct may violate identification and fraud laws.

Attorney General Russell Coleman said state and federal partners were investigating before recent reports. Cameron criticized the alleged misconduct and praised the whistleblower.
