Gwalior police have intensified their actions against Vyapam whistleblower Ashish Chaturvedi, who claims to be targeted for accusing senior officers of leniency. Chaturvedi faces FIRs linked to verbal abuse and misbehavior, with allegations from security guards detailing coercion and household chores.
BHOPAL: The ongoing friction between Gwalior police and Vyapam whistleblower Ashish Chaturvedi has intensified as he was summoned by investigating officers in connection with two cases, including one regarding a ‘missing persons’ complaint filed by his family.
Chaturvedi, who was reported missing a few days ago, claimed, “I was summoned by the police, made to wait for nearly three hours at the station, and then most officers left without recording my statement.”
In a separate case, the police have registered an FIR against Chaturvedi following allegations by a Special Armed Force (SAF) jawan posted as his personal security guard. The jawan accused Chaturvedi of verbal abuse, misbehaviour, and forcing guards to perform household chores during their duty.

Chaturvedi alleged that the police began targeting him after he accused senior officers of leniency in investigating policemen allegedly involved in sextortion cases.
“I am an activist, not a terrorist,” says Chaturvedi.
