There is currently no law on whistleblowing in the Czech Republic. However, it is expected that an appropriate law will be introduced in the second half of 2022.

Currently, private entities are not obliged to establish a whistleblowing system except in some sectors, where the law requires that companies establish an internal whistleblowing system (e.g. the financial sector). This is expected to change soon with the new law on whistleblowing

There are no risks or sanctions for legal entities without a whistleblowing system due to the lack of a relevant law. This is expected to change soon with the new law on whistleblowing.
