Withers hires Gall employment co-head as HK partner - | Asian Legal Business

International law firm Withers has strengthened its Hong Kong employment law practice with the hire of Felda Yeung as partner from local firm Gall Solicitors, where she co-headed the employment team.

Yeung's practice focuses on negotiating executive exits, advising on bonus claims and disputes over post-termination restrictions for senior individuals and employee teams. She also handles discrimination cases and serves clients including financial institutions, accounting firms and C-suite executives.

Beyond employment law, Yeung handles litigation and arbitration matters involving contractual and shareholder disputes, fraud investigations and contentious trust and probate issues. Her litigation client base spans international and local banks, SFC-licensed entities, accounting firms, law firms and senior executives.

"We are thrilled to welcome Felda to our team and to be able to offer her employment law skills to our clients," said Joseph Chu, partner and regional divisional leader of Withers' dispute resolution division in Asia, in a statement. "She is a sophisticated lawyer with a record of delivering results for clients in high stakes matters."

Yeung becomes Withers’ fourth lateral partner hire regionally this year, following the additions of Raymond Oh from Sidley Austin, Ean MacPherson from Baker McKenzie, and Fumihiko Hori from Morrison & Foerster.
