The Northern California labor law attorneys, at Zakay Law Group, APLC and JCL Law Firm, APC, filed a complaint against PAQ, Inc. dba Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets (collectively, "Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets"), for allegedly failing to provide employees with legally-compliant meal and rest breaks. The Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets class action lawsuit, Case No. STK-CV-UOE-2022-452, is currently pending in the San Joaquin Superior Court of the State of California. The lawsuit alleges Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets violated the Private Attorneys General Act ("PAGA"), which gives rise to civil penalties as a result of Food 4 Less' and Rancho San Miguel Markets' conduct. PAGA allows aggrieved employees to file a lawsuit to recover civil penalties on behalf of themselves, other employees, and the State of California for Labor Code violations.
