APHC denounces BJP regime for false claims of normalcy in IIOJK - Kashmir Media Service

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that people — including doctors, activists, and parents of youth — are being arrested, harassed, and humiliated during cordon-and-search operations and house raids. He said such actions are being used by the Indian BJP government as a war tactic to suppress the Kashmiris’ struggle for their right to self-determination.

The APHC described the prevailing situation in the territory as highly precarious, particularly concerning the safety and security of common people. Minhas added that the BJP regime, led by the Lieutenant Governor and its forces’ establishment, is fabricating false narratives of peace, investment, and development to justify its illegal actions of August 5, 2019. The regime, he said, is attempting to create an impression that all is well in IIOJK, whereas the reality is completely the opposite.

The APHC condemned the blast incident in New Delhi and expressed solidarity with the victim families. It said the circumstances surrounding the incident raise suspicions of involvement by the BJP government and its agencies — RAW and NIA — as part of a conspiracy to criminalize and justify the harassment of Kashmiris and Muslims in India. The APHC demanded a probe into the incident by an independent body.
