Bryn Mawr Trust Co. must defend at trial claims that it failed to accommodate and fired a long-time employee who sought additional leave when she developed postpartum psychosis, a Philadelphia federal judge ruled.
Erin Dinger’s symptoms included insomnia, paranoia, and a loss of appetite, resulting in a four-day hospital stay, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said. This came after Dinger had returned to work for approximately six weeks following maternity leave.
