South Suburban College is entitled to summary judgment on claims for breach of contract and retaliation made by a Black vice president of student and enrollment services alleging reduced pay and nonrenewal of her contract because she filed an EEOC complaint regarding race discrimination, an Illinois federal district court ruled. The court determined that the time period between the adminstrator’s EEOC complaint and her termination—nine months—wasn’t a close enough to establish an inference of retaliation.
