DPWH Bohol denounces false claims on contractor awards - Inquirer.net
TAGBILARAN CITY—The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bohol Third District Engineering Office has refuted social media claims that certain infrastructure projects in the district were awarded to contractors linked to a private individual.
In a statement issued on Monday, District Engineer Magiting Cruz stated that none of the contractors mentioned in the online post has been awarded the projects, contrary to allegations.
The controversy began after a social media post alleged that firms connected to Sara Discaya cornered government contracts in the third district. The claim quickly spread online, stirring public suspicion of possible favoritism in infrastructure spending.
Discaya, president of Alpha and Omega General Contractor & Development Corp., appeared before the Senate blue ribbon committee on Monday to deny irregularities in government projects, saying her firm is handling flood control works in Bohol, Romblon, Cebu, Bacolod, and Zamboanga.

Cruz clarified that the road project in Batuan, Bohol, with Contract ID 24HB0016, was awarded to Fuentabuilt Construction Corporation, not to Great Pacific Builders & General Contractor, Inc.
He added that the project in Barangay Bugsoc, Sierra Bullones, with Contract ID 25H00007, was awarded to J.H. Pajara Construction, and the project in Barangay Salvador, Sierra Bullones, with Contract ID 25H00008, was likewise awarded to J.H....
