Italy Cabinet Approves Draft Decree-Law to Adopt Tax Relief Measures to Address Increased Energy Costs - Bloomberg Tax

The Italian Council of Ministers Nov. 10 approved a proposed decree-law to address increases energy costs. The proposed decree-law includes measures that would: 1) increase the ceiling for tax-exempt employee fringe benefits, including reimbursement of utilities, to 3,000 euros (US$3,090); 2) extend the 40 percent tax credit through Dec. 31, for electricity and natural gas purchases by energy-intensive companies; 3) extend the 30 percent tax credit through Dec. 31, for electricity and natural gas purchases by qualifying small businesses; 4) extend the 110 percent superbonus deduction for single-family houses to March 31, 2023; 5) exempt the second installment of property ...
