The New York Times will avoid a proposed class action alleging it sold customers’ private reading information to data brokers in violation of the Michigan Preservation of Personal Privacy Act.
The evidence in the complaint created a mere suspicion of statutory violations rather than establishing their plausibility, which plaintiffs must show for their claims to survive a motion to dismiss, Judge Stephen J.
