Special Forces whistleblower N1799 reveals 'flat packing' killings, the shootings of children and cover-ups in Afghanistan - AOAV

Testimony from a whistleblower known as N1799, presented to the UK’s Independent Afghanistan Inquiry, has unveiled stark details of extrajudicial killings carried out by UK Special Forces in Afghanistan around 2011 and the systemic efforts to cover them up.

The testimony reveals details of extrajudicial killings, fabricated evidence, and systemic failures within the SAS during operations in Afghanistan between 2010 and 2013, Presented to the Independent Afghanistan Inquiry, the testimony also focuses on a culture of impunity and secrecy that allowed unlawful actions to persist unchecked.

“Flat Packing”: Euphemism for Execution

Central to N1799’s testimony was the use of the term “flat packing” to describe extrajudicial killings carried out by SAS operatives. Recalling a conversation with a colleague, N1201, he stated:

“Words that have been used about killing were like ‘flat packing, flat packing them.’”

“It was comfortable as if this is part of standard operating procedures.”

One specific incident described the killing of restrained detainees. Even individuals who posed no immediate threat were executed, a practice that deeply unsettled N1799.

Fabricated Evidence: “Mr Wolf” Operations

Another allegation centred on the fabrication of self-defence scenarios. Weapons were deliberately planted on victims’ bodies to justify the killings. This tactic, known colloquially as “Mr Wolf,” was described by N1799:
