Union Pacific Sees Worker Bias Win Over Use of Service Dog Nixed - Bloomberg Law

Union Pacific Railroad Co. succeeded in overturning a jury’s $250,000 award to a conductor who was denied an accommodation to take his service dog to work to help with his PTSD, after a federal Arkansas court found the award unsupported under federal law.

Perry Hopman said he was entitled to that accommodation because it would provide him with “freedom from mental and psychological pain caused by” his military service-related post-traumatic stress disorder.
